About Us

 Our School of Physical Education and Sports was established in accordance with the article 7/d-2 of the law numbered 2547, as amended by the law numbered 2880, upon examination at the Higher Education Executive Board meeting dated 29.02.2012, and operates in the Iğdır University Şehit Mehmet Tayfur Bora Sports Hall building.

Within our School of Physical Education and Sports, it was deemed appropriate to open 4 departments: Department of Physical Education and Sports Teaching, Department of Recreation, Department of Coach Education and Department of Sports Management.​​

​ ​Our faculty building is located in the Suveren Campus of Iğdır University in the Suveren area of ​​Iğdır province, which is one of the heavenly corners of our heavenly homeland and where cultural richness is concentrated.

​Our faculty is 12 km away from the city center and provides service on a campus area established on 3000 acres of land, which is a center of natural beauty at the foothills of Mount Ararat. The service building, classrooms and sports areas of our school are designed in accordance with European standards.
